@Bonnie, the chain is synthetic and gold color but is not made of real gold or plating. I’m inquiring on the name of the actual material but hope this helps in the meantime.

@Margaret, we could not confirm if it is nickel-free. If you are allergic to nickel though, I’d say avoid it just to be safe. We are looking into future sales that will have nickel-free jewelry (we note it on the page) so hope to serve you something delightful soon!
